 Nicholas Curtis
Executive Chairman
Nicholas Curtis was appointed to the position of Executive Chairman in 2004. Prior to this, Nick was President and Chief Executive Officer. He has over 20 years experience in mining and finance, including founding Sino Gold Mining Limited, an Australian public company with gold mining assets in China, where he served as Chairman for five years until November 2005. Nick was recently appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Conquest Mining Limited, an Australian Securities Exchange listed resources company. Nick served as Chairman of the Board of St Vincents & Mater Health Sydney Limited from August 2004 to October 2009 and currently serves as a Director on the Boards of St Vincent’s Health Australia Limited and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
Nick is the only Executive Director of the Company. He is also a member of the Safety,
Health, Environment and Community Committee.
David Oliver Davidson
Director - Non Executive
David Davidson is an independent Director of the Company and joined the Board on 28 March 2002. He has had a distinguished career with ICI and DuPont. An Australian, he has lived and worked in Europe and North America and held a number of Senior Executive roles with global responsibilities. He is a former Director of ICI America Inc. Since returning to Australia, David has been providing executive and corporate advice on organisation development and strategy.
David is Chairman of the Safety, Health, Environment and Community Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
Jake Klein
Director - Non Executive
Jacob (Jake) Klein was recently appointed as Executive Chairman of Conquest Mining Limited. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Sino Gold Mining Limited, a company he co-founded in 2000. Sino Gold Mining Limited grew to become the largest foreign investor in the gold industry in China until it was purchased by Eldorado Gold Corporation for over $2 billion in 2009. Jake has over 20 years experience in banking and the international mining arena in South Africa and Australia, including periods at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Macquarie Bank Limited. He is a Non-Executive Director of Oceana Gold Corporation and a member of the NSW-Asia Business Council.
Jake is a member of the Safety, Health, Environment and Community Committee and the Audit Committee.
Liam Forde
Director - Non Executive
Lead Independent Director
William (Liam) Forde joined Lynas as a Non Executive Director in December 2007. He is the Lead Independent Director of the Company. Liam has many years experience in senior finance and managerial positions in both Ireland and Australia. He is currently a director of Westpac Banking Corporation's Westpac Funds Management Ltd and Chairman of Hastings Funds Management Ltd. In addition, Liam is a member of several advisory boards and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was Chief Executive Officer of Baulderstone Hornibrook Pty Ltd from 2002 to 2005, following 15 years as Chief Financial Officer for the company.
Liam is the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Safety, Health, Environment and Community Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. |
