23 January 2018
As announced in the Lynas Quarterly Report released on 23 January 2018, Lynas has reached a long term agreement with Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, and one of the leading automotive suppliers.  The objective of the partnership is to secure Bosch’s Rare Earth needs for magnets used in its business.

This agreement comes at a time when the automotive industry is making important decisions for future technologies.  In making those decisions, the automotive industry requires the assurance of supply and predictability of pricing that Lynas is able to provide.

Amanda Lacaze, Lynas CEO said: “We are delighted to announce this strategic agreement with Bosch – one of the largest producers of key components for the automotive industry. Rare Earths pricing has been characterised by volatility, which is not helpful for the adoption of Rare Earths technology solutions. This is an important step in providing greater predictability of prices for both parties and providing confidence to end users as they make critical technology decisions.”

Verena Früh, Bosch Automotive Purchasing Head of Department said: “Lynas has proven to be a reliable supplier who understands the key requirements of the automotive market.”
